Geek Gazette - Sipura SPA-3000 Review

We have posted a review of the Sipura SPA-3000 ATA/VoIP Gateway at Geek Gazette. This awesome little unit is not only an analog telephone adapter for using a VOIP service with a regular analog phone, it is also a VoIP <-> PSTN Gateway device. Where it really shines is allowing you to push your phone line into an Asterisk PBX very easily. We not only review the SPA-3000, we also show how to set it up with Asterisk.

Not surprisingly, this article made Slashdot today, the server actually started croaking at 2,200 concurrent users. This tells you how far this topic has come in just the last few months.

My primary setup is PSTN->SPA-3000 for all inbound calls. There is only one pots line so the line has call forward if busy set to Broadvoice so I can receive multiple calls at once.
